The Montefiore Press is engaged in the writing, production, and distribution of private books. Its sole purpose is to bring to light the stories of exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions in their professional, civic, and philanthropic endeavors.

Most of the books we produce are hardbound books, delivered directly to our clients and not available for sale. We also produce softcover books and can convert books to eBooks for use on tablets and computers.

A book can be finished (from start of project to delivery of books) in as little as six months to as much as two years.

Joshua M. Sklare holds degrees in Sociology and English from Framingham State University. In the course of his career he has been involved in teaching, coaching and working with young people. With a deep and abiding love for country, community, faith and family, he believes in the power of the written word and has a penchant for storytelling. His goal in producing each book is to entertain, enlighten and inspire his readers and bring joy and fulfillment to his clients.

Rose Sklare (1920–2019) was the Editor Emeritus and founding inspiration of Montefiore Press. With a science background, she worked as editor and writer for several book publishers, including Little, Brown & Co., Macmillan, Harcourt Brace, and Time Warner. Founding Textbook Writers Associates, she produced books and journals for many publishers.

Julie Gallagher heads design and production services at Montefiore Press. She holds a degree in Design from Syracuse University and has more than 40 years experience in book publishing, including book and cover design, graphics preparation and page make-up, and eBook preparation.
